In the words of Grandpa Fotschky, "Holy Crow!" I can't believe how quickly the days are flying by! Here are a few pictures I've taken over the last month - yes I'm embarrassed that it's the end of November and I'm just now posting pictures from Halloween!
During the Hurricane/Nor'easter/Superstorm Sandy, we had a movie night and it was the first one Conner was able to stay up for. He enjoyed the movie a little but really liked being able to eat popcorn on the couch!
Thankfully we had no damage from the storm and it cleared out in time for trick-or-treating. Check out these superheroes on their way to school.
A little rest at home before getting back into costume and bundling up to trick or treat. Here's Makayla showing off her sparkles (glitter hairspray, glitter eye shadow and glitter lip gloss)
Ready to go!
Our silly pumpkins
We did our light up milk jugs again and Makayla was very happy to get to decorate some
"Come on guys, let's go!"
Supergirl, Superman and Ironman, all the superheroes I need :)
Back at home, they quickly looked through their candy, sampled a piece or two, then were very excited to hand out candy to the other kids. Makayla took care of those in masks when Conner ran away, but Conner did a good job handing it out as long as they weren't scary :)
A few days later I celebrated my birthday with my awesome husband and kids
The next day I participated in a local 5k run where I won my age group! After the 5k was a kids run, one lap around the track. Makayla took off and did a great job!
It was pretty chilly and although she did a great job, she was ready to get back home.
The following weekend Mary and Ed came to visit. With great weather in the forecast, we decided to head down to show them the drive through animal park. The kids were super excited to go back and see all the animals again. Aren't they cute? (The one on the right is chewing on a bucket, but not one from us, we learned not to try and feed these guys!)
Makayla had a great time!
The next morning, Makayla's Sunday School class sang the opening song for one of the services. Makayla really enjoys singing and I know she liked having Grammy and Papa there to see her.
We had a busy weekend but a great visit!
