That's the number of pictures we have taken over the last few days! I will get them sorted and posted soon but here's a good one for now!

Bouncing monkeys

Yesterday we met our playgroup friends at Monkey Joes, a new bounce house place that just opened. Makayla took right off and had a great time going from one bouncy thing to the next and playing with her friends.

Conner hung a little closer to me and was happy to chew on some snacks and watch everyone else.

Then they discovered the few arcade games and that's all they wanted to do!

Singing in church, skiing in the family room

After Sunday School, all the little kiddies got to put on fancy robes and practice their songs one more time before heading to the sanctuary.
Looking so cute!

The church was packed and the kids did great!

She loves to sing!

I went out for a bit this afternoon and this is what I saw when I came home... I think someone is ready for snow!!!

Friday Night Lights

Friday night we went with some friends to the Winter Wonderland. We had the get the annual family photo with the lights in the background!

I wonder what they are thinking...

The kids had a great time running around, I'm not even sure they noticed the lights though...

They enjoyed some dancing to Christmas songs too!

Last year, Conner was not a fan of hats at all. This year, he'll walk over to get his hat and coat and bring it to one of us to put it on him. I think he really likes to go outside and this is his way of telling us he's ready to go out and play!

Preschool Performance

Last Thursday was Makayla's school performance. I was thankful that a friend was able to stay home with Conner so Jason and I could enjoy the show without wrestling with him the whole time!
Looking good!
All of the kids looked so nice all dressed up!

Makayla had been practicing her songs and did a great job!

Aww :)
After the show, we enjoyed a few cookies. Makayla was excited to get a picture with her teacher.
And I was excited to get a picture with Makayla!

Later that day was a party with the Mom's Club. After a wardrobe change, Makayla was ready to go!

So much fun!

We started our day at Conner's 18 month appointment. He is now 34 inches long (still at the top of the charts) and 25 lbs, 11 ounces (which puts him right at average). He's only gained about 1 lb over the last three months and I asked the Dr if that was ok, to which he asked me, "Is he active?" Uh, I think there should be another word beyond active for Conner! Everything checked out great and he said we have a good looking boy :) He got two shots and Makayla was right there next to him, telling him it was going to be ok. I love these kids :)
While he was napping, Makayla and I decorated another gingerbread house. She was very protective of her candies...
And then very serious with her job.

She tried to make it look like the picture on the box (it was a good try :)

And then things started to get a little silly...

So much fun!

Makayla's Class Party

Conner and I were happy to be able to hang out with Makayla and her class yesterday. The kids started off decorating little gingerbread houses. Well most of the kids decorated, I think Makayla ate more of the icing and candy than what ended up on her house...
Then it was time for the snack. My little Santa Hats and Chex Mix was a hit and the sugar cookies I brought disappeared quickly!
Conner loves hanging out with the big kids!

Zombies

I think we need to start cutting back on the TV time...
Seriously!

Although this looks pretty comfy...

So fun!

I'll admit it, one of my favorite things about being a mom is getting to make cute treats for class parties!

Army/Navy Game

Jason and I had a great time at the Army/Navy game this past Saturday (the kids stayed home with a babysitter). We met up with Erin and William there, the weather was great, the game was a lot of fun to watch and best of all, Navy won - for the 10th time in a row! It was so cool to look over at the Brigade and still a little hard to believe I used to be a part of that. The playing of Blue and Gold at the end was a bit of a tear jerker and although it seems like a lifetime ago, I am proud to call myself an alumni of such an awesome school!

18 months old already???

I can't believe my "little" boy is 18 months old today! He is developing quite a personality and makes me laugh all the time. He is also starting to realize he is funny and puts on quite a show when there is an audience! He still loves to eat - cookies and chips top his list of favorites. He is starting to play a little on his own, but doesn't really sit still for more than about 14 seconds. He loves his sister and wants to be wherever she is, doing whatever she is doing, which doesn't always work out well... He has big puppy dog eyes when he knows he is in trouble (and yes he still goes to time out and mimics Makayla...) He says a few words: mama (to me and Jason), papa, no, all gone, uh oh, ball, ouch, hot, yuck, book, various animal sounds, and something close to Makayla. He is a fast learner and likes things to be put away in the right place. He is a good traveler (as long as there are snacks). He also loves books and one of my favorite times of the day is at night when he will sit in my lap and listen to a story or two.
We love this little guy!

Silly kids

Hellooooo out there!
After about a week of drying out, Makayla and Jason broke the wish bone - and Makayla got the bigger part! I wonder what her wish was!

Check out her adorable holiday outfit - thanks mom!

Hmm, something doesn't seem right about this mom...

That's better!

Time to paint! Makayla painted some beautiful window decorations.

And I decided it was time to let this guy give painting a try. He was like, "Are you serious???"

He did pretty good at first...

And ended about how you would expect... Yes, that is green paint around his mouth. I guess he thought paint brush = tooth brush.... Thank goodness Crayola is washable and non-toxic!
