Of course Kona had to come and check her out. Don't worry, Jason had a very close watch (and hand) on Kona the whole time!
Hey mom, try this! (Yeah right!)
What a cutie!
Love this life!
I wonder where she is trying to go....
Makayla with Uncle Aaron and his girlfriend Trish.
A cute and happy girl with her daddy and Uncle Aaron!
Makayla was on the big screen as they announced her name and age and made a big deal that she was at her first game! Of course she slept through it all.
They even gave her a souvenir ball - which I then had autographed by three of the mascots - Wally the Walnut, Al the Almond, and Peanut (who was an elephant). As you can tell, she was really excited about it all!
Daddy told her all about the game...
And I told her about all the yummy food at the concession stands! It was a fun time!
Saturday morning we took the puppy for an early morning walk. We walked to Starbucks and Makayla was kicking her legs and talking almost the whole way.
Saturday afternoon we tested out "The Mother Ship" (I got the name from Kelly who calls their excersaucer the same thing!) Makayla didn't quite know what to do at first and was probably overwhelmed with all of the things there are to do! Almost everything makes noise and many of them light up. We showed her how to make some of the noises and she caught on quickly and seemed to like being in there.

Sunday we went to the Oakdale Chocolate Festival. For being a chocolate festival - there weren't very many chocolate food choices! But we did manage to find some tasty treats. We even let Makayla hold the kettle corn - although she showed no interest in it and seemed to enjoy eating the purple plastic pig instead!
I think she is trying to talk to the fishies. I wonder what she is saying....
Here she looks very interested in whatever I am saying (of course this is the same look we ALWAYS gave my dad whenever he was talking to us :)
She's waving bye for now!
Close....
Closer....
She did it!
What a big girl!
Makayla (with daddy's help) picked out a beautiful ring with her birthstone. She also wrote a very nice card (she has great handwriting for her age!) Makayla and daddy then fixed a yummy breakfast.
Then we spent some time outside. It was a really nice day and Makayla tried out a new sun hat.
These are flowers that Jason and Makayla got for me. They are very pretty!
Even Kona had a good day. He may not fetch, but he seems to like chasing bubbles!
(A flashback picture in case you forgot what she looked like 14 weeks ago - she's growing so fast!)
Now, she makes lots of noises that sound a lot like a dolphin! Does that mean we may have gone overbaord with the fishy theme? Either way, dolphin is my new nickname for her!
Last night she had bathtime with mommy. She really seems to enjoy kicking and being in the water - we may have to move up to the big tub soon!
While souvenir shopping in Lake Tahoe, Grandpa Bob found something with Makayla's name on it! I know Makayla is looking forward to using it to drink something other than milk!
Both Grandpa Bob and Grandma Meg enjoyed feeding Makayla - and I enjoyed the extra few minutes of time for myself!
Makayla is SOOOO BIG!
